Your adventure will begin in Homer, Alaska as you board a small plane for a scenic flight over massive volcanos and stunning mountain peaks. Destination, the Katmai coast where we will meet our privately chartered vessel. This mobile platform will be our home for the next several days and gives us the ability to go where the bear are. Each day we will zodiac to shore allowing us to get eye level to the largest bears on planet earth.
At all times you’ll be lead by an expert bear guide for safe and exciting encounters. Given the small group size you’ll also receive plenty in the field photographic instruction from Aaron if desired. Although the focus will be on bears you may also have opportunities to shoot bald eagles, wolves, puffins, sea otters, stellars sea lions, moose, and more! Day 8: Late afternoon departures required in the afternoon after 3:30pm to provide a weather buffer.
