Photo Tour Details
No classification of birds captivates the imagination of humans quite like owls do. Their dazzling beauty, exciting presence, and wealth of behaviors make them a crown jewel to experience and photograph. There are few places better to do so then in Eastern Washington State where some of the North America’s most fascinating species of owls call their home.
Adventure through beautiful wild scenery, in a luxury SUV, alongside Award-winning professional wildlife photographer Aaron Baggenstos. Allow his extensive experience and knowledge of these creatures and their habitats to grant you access into their shy and secretive hiding places. It’s here that you will not only learn to sharpen your photography skills but make lasting memories in nature.
This trip is scheduled around nesting season for great-horned owls, barn owls, and burrowing owls and we have seen and photographed each species on every tour for the last 3 years in a row. Last year our group photographed 33 owls in 3 just days!
We should also have exciting opportunities with other raptors including osprey, bald eagle, golden eagle, American kestrel, and prairie falcon. Other bird species commonly seen on this trip include lazuli bunting, western tanager, California quail, bullock oriole, mountain and western bluebirds, white pelicans and many more.
Join us for a one of a kind unforgettable trip!
Aaron was incredibly knowledgeable about both photography and bird habits…He really helped me learn about my camera and settings for all types of lighting and had a good sense of humor on top of all that. 3 days was not long enough. Well worth the trip. – Jean H – Naples, FL
My second photo tour with Aaron provided me with the opportunity to photograph owls in Eastern Washington that I could not have accomplished on my own. Aaron’s photographic tips and wildlife knowledge helped me bring back some great shots of barn owls, burrowing owls, avocets, and stilts. We really had fun watching the young burrowing owls. Aaron knows where to find the birds. Both tours were very productive for me and I highly recommended him. – Mike B – Duvall, Washington
For my second trip with Aaron…he out did himself and our first trip…we not only saw three different nesting owl species (great horned, burrowing and barn), but saw Pileated Woodpecker, Great Blue Heron, Wood Duck, Red-winged Blackbirds and an Osprey…all in three days. – Joe M – San Francisco, Ca
